Tortosa - Catalonya, Spain

Tortosa is the capital of the comarca of Baix Ebre. The fact that the Ebro was the natural entrance from the Mediterranean sea towards the interior of the peninsula has turned Tortosa during its history into a city of progress and meeting. The three cultures of the Sarracenos, Jews and Christians coexisted during a long time in this city and have left the inheritance of a rich historical-artistic Cultural property. The cathedral of Santa Maria, the walled fortress and the castle are some of the attractiveness which the visitor can enjoy during his stay in this city.
